Heated storage of high-quality steel products
With 125 years of experience in logistics, we are extending our services and tailor-made solutions for high-quality steel products. With the construction of a heated warehouse on the Stahlinsel in the port of Duisburg, we offer you comprehensive support along the entire logistics chain with all transport modes – including the first and last mile by truck.
Our multifunctional hub on the Stahlinsel will enable you to optimally distribute steel across the Ruhr region. We currently handle 1,000,000 t of steel in Duisburg per annum, and our new facilities will allow us to significantly expand both our capacity and our range of products. As your logistics partner, we are at your disposal with our comprehensive service portfolio and know-how.

On an area of 9,000 sqm, a new state-of-the-art steel warehouse is being built on the Stahlinsel, which will allow us to store 60,000 t – heated with an innovative, resource-saving method using underfloor heating. This will allow us to ensure that your products are not exposed to frost or condensation and are protected from the weather while waiting for their onward transport.

INLAND NAVIGATION
With a fleet of more than 50 state-of-the-art and universally deployable barges with loading capacities of up to 6,000 t, we transport your steel products of all types in an environmentally friendly, resource-saving and cost-effective manner. We bring your goods safely to our terminal or collect them there.

INTERMODAL
With inland waterway transport and block train connections, we reach the ARA ports and use truck transport for local traffic: We take care of the stuffing and stripping of your containers as well as specialised logistics solutions for all container transport needs. These services are offered not only in Duisburg, but also at all our locations on the Rhine between Antwerp and Basel.

TRUCKING
The use of our trucks for the first or last mile completes our service portfolio. And that includes both national and international traffic. This enables us to offer continuous door-to-door service under HSL management – regardless of whether conventional loading or container transport is involved.
PROJECTS
We plan and coordinate multimodal and individual transport solutions for heavy and oversized cargo on all European waterways – in an advisory and solution-orientated manner.

SHORT-SEA
Whether to Norway or Great Britain: We offer weekly departures from our terminal to all main ports. Our door-to-door service offers you everything from a single source. So your goods reach their destination safely and efficiently by sea.

SHIPPING & FORWARDING
We take charge of import and export from ports in the ARA zone, as well as pre-carriage and onward carriage to the customer – with trimodal transport via ship, train or truck. In addition to the stuffing and stripping containers, we take care of all the associated work for you, such as customs clearance, fiscal representation and documentation.
